Access Forbidden error of mysql of lampp on Linux

I was experiencing an error with my local server (which I installed to practice php) .

It’s error was something like:

Access forbidden!

New XAMPP security concept:

Access to the requested object is only available from the local network.

This setting can be configured in the file “httpd-xampp.conf”.

If you think this is a server error, please contact the webmaster.

Error 403

localhost
Apache/2.4.3 (Unix) OpenSSL/1.0.1c PHP/5.4.7

I got it solved by doing this:

– I edited section “since XAMPP 1.4.3” of /opt/lampp/etc/extra/httpd-xampp.conf from this:

<Directory "/opt/lampp/phpmyadmin">
AllowOverride AuthConfig Limit
Order allow,deny
Allow from all
</Directory>

to this:

<Directory "/opt/lampp/phpmyadmin">
AllowOverride AuthConfig Limit
Require all granted
</Directory>

(lines “Order allow,deny” and “Allow from all” were cancelled and the new one “Require all granted” was inserted)

– I restarted XAMPP with command “/opt/lampp/lampp restart” and the issue was solved.

Best,

WaxtaP
