Rush of Rainbox Chaser – 3

Here is the third part of a long story that I was working on. Keep checking for the rest. I will continue sharing.

Another dream he saw was this: “He saw a big building with nothing in it but chairs. And people sitting. Then he goes out, goes down a ramp a little, and sees the side of the rock that building is built on. Don’t know why but he decides to climb his was up. Tries that and when he understood that he wouldn’t be able to climb, he turns back and continue walking down. Not long later, (about 2-3 seconds) he sees a girl about the same age as himself. There is a black jeep next to the rock, and the girl in black has an injured foot. He saw her foot in blood.

Just a second ago, he was making some calculations about how can he climb that rock using the jeep as a stepping stone.

Now, he realizes that he needs to help that girl. Walks faster towards the girl. Thinks alternatives on how to help that girl. First thing he thought was helping her like … umm.. givingher a shoulder and walk her to the building up above. Then some voice says that it is not an appropriate way to act.

He hugs the girls and carries her about 5 meters. Then he sees a man from the building. But now, there is one thing different. He is carrying his daughter. He blushes, because it can also be seen inappropriate by her father. It is HER FATHER, do you understand? In some countries, this is enough to kill someone.

The rest is the story of next time 🙂

A practical way to learn things simultaneously

The quickest way to learn anythging is by Positive Transference of Learning.
Transfer of learning

It means transferring the skills you have learned in one field to something else.

Some obvious examples.

  • If you learn one instrument you can learn another easier than the first.
  • If you have learnt a new language it is easier to learn another quicker than the first.

But there are other aspects of it.

DM x WP

I wish could write the whole story here and now but I won’t be able to. So, I will write some and maybe edit every now and then.

The story goes back to around 4 years ago. The one with id D.M or as you see davetsiz. Actually, I don’t even know what to write about this. Things have gone without my will. I couldn’t do anything to stop myself or any other person. Then I became acquaintances with davetsiz. It was the best thing that had ever been happened to me. I met someone who is funny, thoughtful and complete (in some ways.. I gues I exxaggerated a bit. ) When I thought I can trust that person, I had that person to have an account on my website. The first post from davetsiz came with this ( Nasıl Yapsam Bilemedim Şimdi.. ).

Anyway, I guess this was no go. We couldn’t continue this with our lives. We have different worlds, I guess. As you can see, No more posts from davetsiz around here, maybe you wondered what happened, but you couldn’t ask. Maybe you asked me what is wrong with me. Maybe you don’t even care. These all go to the same end, things have changed. Life brings new things to people all the time.

Now, I don’t have anyone around me that will say, “Life can always bring something good as long as you are alive!” with  a smiling face. Or send me some cakes with a note: “Open up with your smile!”. Or get angry with me, just to see my trembling body and red face. Then laugh at me as hard as one can.

To shut up with, I will say, I will write more later (I hope). I wish I could find someone like that person someday, share some things…

Interesting Pschological Experiment, Verplanck Effect

The Verplanck Effect:

For this one, you need to get a bunch of classmates in on it, it can be tough to pull off. I believe it was an experiment done originally by a bunch of Harvard kids.

Go to lecture one day whenever the lecturer goes to one side of the room have everyone in the class smile. When the lecturer goes to the opposite side of the room, have everyone frown. Ideally, you can have a sort of “gradient” of smiles. More people smile as the lecturer gets closer to the area you want them in. By the end of lecture, the lecturer will be pinned to the side of the room that everyone was smiling at and not even realize it.

Not only is it a funny little trick to pull on your professor, but is is an important experiment and has some interesting implications on behavior.  Continue reading “Interesting Pschological Experiment, Verplanck Effect”

What If You Got Everything You Ever Wanted?

Warning: I’m here to interrupt your regularly scheduled life to bring you a completely optional announcement.

This segment may or may not momentarily fuck your day up, then make it orders of magnitude better, and finally, proceed to send your life on a detour. Results may vary, and are not guaranteed.

Hypothetical question: How much money would be too much for you to ever want to have?

For example: If you were to make a list of everything you’ve ever wanted to buy for the rest of your life — for yourself, your family, your friends — and add it up — what is the number that is $1 above this amount? At what point would you say: I have enough. I’m done. The concept of earning more money is no longer useful or necessary for me to satisfy any of my needs.
